Tamryn McDermott

I recently returned to Alexandria, Virginia after living in the suburbs of Philadelphia and Columbus, Ohio for the past 6.5 years.  I have an MFA in Fibers and Sculpture am currently pursuing a PhD in Arts Administration, Education and Policy at the Ohio State University.  I have exhibited work at the BlackRock Center for the Art, Germantown, MD; Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA; University of St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis, MO; and the Crane Arts, Ice Box Project Space, Philadelphia, PA, among many others.  I have received awards including the Creative Promise Award from the Surface Design Association (SDA), The Verna Wulfenkammer Fellowship and Graduate School Fellowship from the University of Missouri, and Second Place in the Student Exhibition at the 2013 Surface Design Conference in San Antonio, TX.
